L'M551 Sheridan era un carro leggero americano del periodo della Guerra Fredda. I primi prototipi del veicolo furono costruiti nel 1965, e la produzione in serie continuò negli anni 1966-1970, terminando con la produzione di circa 1700 esemplari di questo carro armato.
