Cannone anticarro tedesco da 7,5 cm Pak 40 (7,5 cm Panzerabwehrkanone 40) della seconda guerra mondiale. I lavori su questo cannone furono eseguiti nel 1939-1941 da Krupp e Rheinmetall. Una significativa accelerazione del lavoro di ricerca si ebbe dopo l'inizio dell'Operazione Barbarossa e l'incontro da parte delle unità corazzate tedesche dei carri armati KW-1 e T-34. Il cannone Pak 40 fu introdotto nelle unità di linea dalla fine del 1941. Grazie ai suoi parametri elevati, divenne il principale cannone anticarro tedesco fino alla fine della guerra. Fu in grado di impegnarsi in scontri a fuoco con qualsiasi carro armato sovietico e alleato, fino alla comparsa di veicoli come l'IS-2, l'M26 Pershing e il Centurion. Nel periodo 1941-1945 furono prodotte oltre 29.000 di queste armi (compresi i cannoni installati sui cacciacarri).
